Prepare an outdoor-access funding application
Turn a real walkability, bikeability or outdoor-access project into an editable application packet for an open WNY grant.
What you can make
An editable project narrative, eligibility checklist, measurable-impact plan and line-item budget for applicant review.
A qualifying WNY nonprofit or government agency with an outdoor-access project. An individual builder can help prepare a packet with an eligible organization; individuals cannot apply directly.
Start here
Confirm the actual applicant
Record the eligible organization, its status, project fit and missing permissions. Leave unknown facts blank.
Keep evidence: Applicant-supplied eligibility answers and a current check of official requirements.
Make the first working packet
Use a real project description, a measurable beneficiary estimate and at least one sourced budget line. Edit the generated packet rather than treating it as a finished application.
Keep evidence: A saved draft with real applicant-supplied information.
Review before submitting
Have the authorized applicant check every claim, attachment and certification in the official portal.
Keep evidence: Applicant review; no automatic submission.
Who can take part
- Confirm the applicant is a qualifying WNY 501(c)(3) nonprofit or government agency.
- Confirm the project fits Design and Access; individuals are not direct applicants.
- Confirm required land-owner permission before proposing changes to land.
Before you commit
- Requests are $10,000–$50,000; eligibility and award decisions belong to the funder.
- Playgrounds, sports facilities and community gardens are excluded from this category.
- The packet is preparation only. Submission, certifications, accounts and outreach require your separate action.
- The source states 4 PM; the displayed countdown interprets this as local Eastern time. Confirm directly with the funder.
What still needs testing
These are possibilities to investigate, not verified findings.
- Preparing a clearer evidence-led project may improve readiness, but no eligibility, partner interest or award is established.
Evidence you can inspect
- The current application process is open.
- The published deadline is November 30, 2026, at 4 PM.
- The Design and Access category supports qualifying organizational applicants.
The official application and applicant certification control eligibility.
This working packet does not submit an application.
