Salary: $62,354.00 - $67,354.00
SUMMARY
The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of perishable warehouse employees, ensure compliance with all company policies, assist in the training of new hires, and ensure all safety, production, sanitation, and quality standards are attained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure quality and On-Time delivery to customer
- Ensure compliance of sanitation guidelines by warehouse employees
- Monitor employee relations and handle employee issues/problems
- Assist with training new hires and other training as needed
- Oversee the daily actions of employees including performance management
- Ensure all employees are in compliance with safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years of age
- Flexible Schedule including weekends
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to read, and write
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Experience in a unionized environment preferred
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience in Warehouse supervising at least 10 associates; preferably in the Grocery industry or fast paced, production based environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
EQUIPMENT USED
- Constant- standing, walking, driving, carrying, twisting, bending, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork. Lifting of objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs.
- Frequent- stooping, balancing, and hearing
- Occasional- pushing, sitting, feeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, gripping of items ranging from under 20 lbs. to over 60 lbs.
- Temperature of Grocery warehouses can range from 50° to 80° Fahrenheit, a Perishable warehouse can range from 28° to 60° Fahrenheit, and a Freezer warehouse can range from -20° to -10° Fahrenheit.
- Steel Toe Shoes are required
- Heavy Equipment – as dictated by position and location
