Pay Rate Starting at: Level $16.00/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Carry Out Café clerk must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining prepared food products. The clerk is also responsible for providing remarkable customer service at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Carry Out Café operations, safety, and sanitation
• Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer questions about Carry Out Café products (i.e.: ready-made meals, packaged salads and subs)
• Maintain a clean as you go policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product (i.e.: following recipes and cooking instructions)
• Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions, such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating product
• Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards
• Ensure proper temperatures and working condition of cases (hot and cold) as well as maintaining all equipment
• Complete all necessary paperwork
• Follow direction from the Carry Out Café Manager, perform tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age to enter/work on the deli side of the department

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills
