About this event
November 30 marks the birthday of an incredibly important writer, essayist, and American intellectual: Mark Twain! Join Grosvenor Room staff as we celebrate Twain's 191st birthday in the Ring of Knowledge at the Central Library. See a selection of first editions and handwritten items from the Rare Book Room's exquisite collection of Twain memorabilia, and celebrate his legacy by looking to the future-- namely, through science fiction! We will screen two episodes of a classic 90's science fiction television show featuring actor Jerry Hardin as Samuel Clemens.
